PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dynamic vibration absorber allowed to be attached to a machine tool and capable of displaying equal vibration control effects to X-direction vibration and Y-direction vibration of the tool.SOLUTION: A dynamic vibration absorber 10 is attached to a periphery of a main shaft 12 of a machine tool through an adaptor 11. The dynamic vibration absorber 10 has a virtual coordinate space composed of a Zdirection approximately parallel with an axial direction of the main shaft 12 of the machine tool and an Xdirection and a Ydirection orthogonal to the Zdirection. The dynamic vibration absorber 10 includes a housing 21, a spring element and a mass element (weight 26) connected in the Zdirection, and a damper element (damper 27) arranged between the mass element and the housing 21 in the Zdirection. The spring element is configured by four or more springs arranged in the housing so as to have isotropy in force of the Xdirection and force of the Ydirection. |
