The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cathode for a lithium-sulfur battery and a lithium-sulfur battery. The method includes: a step of preparing a solution of thiosulfate salt; a step of inserting a carbon structure into the solution of thiosulfate salt and stirring the same, and infiltrating the solution of thiosulfate salt into the surface and interior of the carbon structure; a step of removing thiosulfate salt existing on the surface of the carbon structure; a step of reducing the thiosulfate salt into sulfur by inserting the carbon structure containing the thiosulfate salt into the interior; and a step of obtaining a carbon structure containing the sulfur, formed by the reduction of the thiosulfate salt.
