PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an open-phase detection device for three phase output wires from erroneously detecting, as an open-phase, abnormality of a phase current sensor disposed in each phase output wire.SOLUTION: A condition 1 for determining normality/abnormality of three phase current sensors is judged in step S1. The condition 1 depends on whether a current sum (iu+iv+iw) of phase currents (iu), (iv), (iw) detected by the three phase current sensors exceeds an upper limit value (preset value) (is) for a detection variation range of the current sum. In the case of iu+iv+iw≤is where the condition 1 is not satisfied, namely, only in the case where all the three phase current sensors are judged normal, a determination as an open-phase in any phase wire is permitted. |
