PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power in a base station and a radio terminal in a radio communication system performing polling communication.SOLUTION: In a radio communication system, including a base station for radio transmitting a polling signal and a radio terminal for radio transmitting a polling response signal on receiving the polling signal, when the power of the base station and the radio terminal is normal power, the base station radio transmits polling signals at first intervals. When the power of the base station or the radio terminal switches from the normal power to emergency power, the base station radio transmits polling signals at second intervals longer than the first intervals to the radio terminal. |
