PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for an oral cavity capable of effective prevention of development of dental caries by sufficiently enhancing the adsorption amount of fluoride ions to teeth while using N-acyl acidic amino acid or a salt thereof.SOLUTION: A composition for an oral cavity contains the following components (A) to (D): (A) 0.005 mass% or more and 1 mass% or less of N-acyl acidic amino acid or a salt thereof; (B) 2 mass% or more and 40 mass% or less of sugar alcohol having a solubility in water at 20°C of 40 mass% or less; (C) one kind or two or more kinds of fluoride ion-supplying compound(s) selected from sodium fluoride, ammonium fluoride, potassium fluoride and sodium silicofluoride; and (D) over 25 mass% and 95 mass% or less of water, where the content of the sodium chloride is 3 mass% or less; the mass ratio (B)/(A) of the component (B) and the component (A) is 5 or more and 8000 or less; and the mass ratio (A)/(D) of the component (A) and the component (D) is 0.006×10or more and less than 4×10. |
