PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a diesel particulate filter, by which dimensional accuracy of a green honeycomb molded body is improved.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the diesel particulate filter related to the present invention comprises a step of forming a long-size cylindrical object by extruding a mixture of raw material powder in the horizontal direction from an extruder, a step of forming a green honeycomb molded body 70 supported by a pedestal 1B by vertically cutting the cylindrical object in the longitudinal direction while supporting the lower side of the cylindrical object by the pedestal 1B for the green honeycomb molded body and a step of transporting the molded body 70 supported by the pedestal 1B. The pedestal 1B includes a flexible body part 63, and a groove part 67 existing in an upper part of the body part supports the molded body 70, and a cavity part 65 penetrating through the body part 63 along the groove part 67, is formed under the groove part 67, and a cushioning part 60 having flexibility higher than the body part 63 is arranged in the cavity part 65. |
