PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide POS terminal equipment capable of preventing a customer from wasting time by shortening a time required for receiving the payment of change, and reducing the mental labor of an operator.SOLUTION: The POS terminal equipment 1 comprises: a tray 17 having a top face on which paper money and coins for buying and selling price payment are placed by a customer; a camera 18 for generating still image data by imaging the top face of the tray 17 at predetermined time intervals; a control unit 80 for calculating the denominations and number of the paper money and coins on the basis of the still image data generated by the camera 18, and for temporarily calculating reception money amounts from the customer; and an RAM 82 for storing the denominations and number of the paper money and coins calculated by the control unit 80 and the reception money amounts temporarily calculated by the control unit 80. |
