<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for base tread, which improves mileage, rupture strength, and processability in a well balanced manner, and a pneumatic tire using the same.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for base tread contains rubber components, silica, and polyalkylene glycol having a branch structure. In 100 mass% of rubber components, the content of a conjugated diene polymer having the structural unit derived from a conjugated diene and the structural unit derived from a compound represented by the following formula (1) is 5 mass% or more. Relative to 100 mass parts of rubber components, the content of silica is 5 to 150 mass parts, and the content of polyalkylene glycol is 0.1 to 10 mass parts. [Formula 1]</p> |
