摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for moving a flap that can optimize the placement of a deployment device of a flap in an airplane and reduce a thickness of a wing.SOLUTION: A device 10 for moving a flap, which is a deployment device that deploys a flap 3 provided at a front edge or a rear edge of a main wing of an airplane and is stored within the main wing, comprises: a drive source 51; a movement mechanism 53 comprising a movable body moved back and forth by power of the drive source; a transmission mechanism 30 that transmits back and forth movement of the movable body to the flap and renders the flap to deploy and move between a retreating position and a deploying position; and a rail 23 that guides the transmission mechanism. The movement mechanism is arranged lateral to the rail, in the span-wise direction of the main wing. This configuration allows the movement mechanism as an element of an actuator device to be arranged lateral to the rail, in the span-wise direction of the main wing so that a dimension in a thickness direction, for at least the thickness of the movement mechanism, can be reduced, and thereby the thickness of the wing can be reduced or the protruding height of flap truck fairings can be suppressed.
