PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of an automatic transmission which secures favorable drivability on an ascent slope, and can reduce a calorific value of a clutch simultaneously.SOLUTION: The speed change control method of the automatic transmission comprises ascent slope determination means for determining whether or not a road on which a vehicle travels is an ascent slope, and corner determination means for determining whether or not the road has many corners. When it is determined that the road is the ascent slope by the ascent slope determination means, and the road has many corners by the corner determination means, a fly speed change after both determinations is prohibited. |
