PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel cholesterol production inhibitors, hypercholesterolemia preventive/therapeutic agents and arteriosclerosis preventive agents.SOLUTION: The cholesterol production inhibitors, hypercholesterolemia preventive/therapeutic agents and arteriosclerosis preventive agents contain reaction products of hydroxystilbenes, such as trans-resveratrol, and sinapic acid, and their pharmacologically acceptable salts. The agents have cholesterol production inhibitory action better than resveratrol. |
