PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a compound thin film solar cell capable of efficiently forming a corrosion prevention layer on a metal substrate.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a compound thin film solar cell comprises the steps of: preparing a metal substrate containing iron as a main component, aluminum (Al), and chrome (Cr) and forming an insulating layer on an element formation surface of the metal substrate by burning an insulation material; forming a first electrode layer on the insulating layer; forming a compound light absorption layer on the first electrode layer; and forming a second electrode layer on the compound light absorption layer. In the insulating forming step, an alumina layer is formed by thermal oxidation on at least a rear surface of the metal substrate when the insulation material is being burnt. |
