PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device in which a plurality of advance angles can be set without providing a delay time and occurrence of step-out is prevented.SOLUTION: In the motor drive device, a first detection element is disposed at such a position that excitation switching timing in a first magnetic pole part comes to an electric advance angle of 0° to 45° with respect to a rotating position of a rotor when rotating the rotor in a first rotating direction. A second detection element is disposed at such a position that excitation switching timing in a second magnetic pole part comes to the electric advance angle of 0° to 45° with respect to the rotating position of the rotor. A third detection element is disposed at such a position that the excitation switching timing in the first magnetic pole part comes to an electric advance angle of 45° to 90° with respect to the rotating position of the rotor. A fourth detection element is disposed at such a position that the excitation switching timing in the second magnetic pole part comes to the electric advance angle of 45° to 90° with respect to the rotating position of the rotor. |
