PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external cover that can be easily fixed to an apparatus body, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An external cover 40 includes an insertion part 412 that is inserted into notch parts 110 of an apparatus body and has, at the center part in a Z direction, a first guide part 412a extending in a Y direction (vertical direction) and having a shape in which the height (length in X direction) is gradually reduced from the center part toward an end part direction. When inserted into the notch parts 110 of the apparatus body, the first guide part 412a is brought into contact with second and third marginal parts 110b and 110c of a notch part 110, so as to guide the external cover 40 in the Y direction. |
