<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tread, capable of improving high mileage property, wet grip performance and wear resistance in a good balance, and a pneumatic tire using the composition.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tread comprises a rubber component, silica, and a compound expressed by formula (I) below. In the composition, the content of a conjugate diene polymer having a structural unit based on a conjugate diene and a structural unit based on a nitrogen-containing alkenyl silane compound is 5 mass% or more in 100 mass% of the rubber component; and the content of the silica and the content of the compound expressed by formula (I) are 5 to 150 parts by mass and 5 to 23 parts by mass, respectively, with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component. In the formula, E represents an alkylene group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms; and Rand Rare identical or different from each other and represent a monovalent organic group containing a nitrogen atom.</p> |
