PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow easy alignment on the incidence side by allowing preventing reception of in-clad propagating light without requiring accurate positioning in temporary adjustment on the emission side of an optical waveguide, for example, a planar optical circuit, namely the light reception side.SOLUTION: An optical alignment device is optically connected to the emission side of an optical waveguide in order to perform optical alignment between the optical waveguide and a first optical component optically connected to the incidence side of the optical waveguide and includes; a multi-core fiber in which one of a plurality of cores propagates in-core propagating light emitted from the optical waveguide by single mode operation or substantial single mode operation; and a light detection part which has such a diameter that in-core propagating light emitted from any core of the multi-core fiber can be received. |
