PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an oil palm lumber to be dried in such a degree as one in which mold and bacteria do not show any breeding and prevent them from influencing its succeeding processing.SOLUTION: There are provided heater plates N for heating both surfaces of oil palm materials W in which an oil palm trunk WD of predetermined length is cut to a predetermined thickness in its longitudinal direction. These oil palm materials W and the heater plates N are housed in a housing chamber 50, its inside part is separated from surrounding atmospheric pressure and controlled. Then, application of a press machine causes the heater plates N to compress against the oil palm materials W with predetermined pressure. Accordingly, the oil palm materials W are heated by the heater plates N, their moisture vapor is discharged out of the housing chamber 50 through a pump 49, so that moisture vapor generated through heating operation and moisture generated through deaeration as required are discharged out to enable their drying efficiency to be increased. In addition, since the oil palm materials W are heated and compressed with heater plates N, heat of the heater plates fully reaches to a core part of the oil palm materials W to enable entire drying to be rapidly carried out. |
