PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system capable of further improving power generation output by using seawater at different depths and a power generation system operating method using the same.SOLUTION: In this power generation system, second power generation facilities (6 to 10) can drain hot waste water having been subjected to heat exchange to surrounding sea areas with deep water used as a low-temperature heat source and the hot waste water from a condenser 2 in first power generation facilities (2, 3, 4) used as a high-temperature heat source, and the first power generation facilities introduce the deep water having been subjected to heat exchange in the second power generation facilities to the condenser 2 so as to exchange heat with waste steam from the turbine (3), and can supply the hot waste water after the heat exchange as the high-temperature heat source of the first power generation facilities. |
