Disclosed are a method of recovering an error of a system in a network and an apparatus for performing the method. The method of recovering the error occurred in the network may comprise the steps of determining whether the apparatus receives a clock signal; and sending an error recovery message if the apparatus does not receive the clock signal, wherein the error recovery message may be a control message instructing to perform an error recovery process from a terminal or a network device transmitting the clock signal. Accordingly, the present invention can improve the reliability of the network by recovering the error occurred by itself.
