<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus and a control method for the same which has a driving circuit for detecting an abnormality in an illuminating device that supplies an illumination light.SOLUTION: An electronic apparatus of the embodiment includes: a light source; a protective element; electric power source means; a protection element; detection means; determination means; and setting means. The light source includes LED elements serially connected. The electric power source means applies a driving voltage on the light source. The protection element is connected in parallel to each of the LED elements. The detection means detects a fluctuation of the driving voltage applied on the light source and the LED protection element. The determination means determines whether the fluctuation of the driving voltage detected by the detection means is abnormal or not. When the determination means determined that the value is abnormal, the setting means sets a protective operation voltage which is different from a normal time voltage, for the driving voltage applied on the light source by the electric power source means.</p> |
