PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper body structure of a vehicle that van suppress buckling of a roof reinforcement in the vicinity of a roof lateral portion by maintains cross-section shape of a roof rail and transmitting a lateral collision load in a nearly shaft direction of the roof reinforcement through a gusset.SOLUTION: An upper body structure of a vehicle comprises: a pair of left and right roof rails 4; a roof panel 5 arranged between the roof rails 4 and 4; a roof reinforcement 14 extending in a vehicle width direction below the roof panel 5; a center pillar 6; and a gusset 30 connected to an end portion in the vehicle width direction of the roof reinforcement 14. In the roof rail 4, at a position where the rail overlaps with the roof reinforcement 14 in a longitudinal direction and in a vertical direction is arranged a joint member 42. |
