PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology by which the deformation of a separation membrane can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A gas generation apparatus includes: a first electrode; a first room forming portion that forms a first room for housing electrolyte and first electrode; a second electrode that comprises photocatalyst; a second room forming portion that forms a second room for housing electrolyte and second electrode; a separation membrane that partitions between the first room and the second room and separates hydrogen gas and oxygen gas; and a reinforcing member that includes a support portion for supporting a part of the exposed portion which is a portion exposed to the first room or the second room of the separation membrane. |
