PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably rotate a fixing belt without complicating a structure and a manufacture of a belt system fixing device (a fixing unit).SOLUTION: A fixing unit 50 comprises: a fixing roller 51 heated by a heater 52; a pressure member (a pressure roller 61 and a pressure pad 62) provided counter to the fixing roller 51 and in pressure-contact with the fixing roller 51; and a fixing belt 63 held between the fixing roller 51 and the pressure member 61, 62 and conveying a print medium P. The fixing unit 50 heats a developer image formed on the print medium P and presses it to fix it on the print medium P. The fixing roller 51 includes a core bar 51a and a surface layer 51b formed on the outer peripheral surface of the core bar 51a, the surface layer 51b has coarse surface parts 51b2 having a large friction coefficient formed on both end sides in the shaft direction, and the coarse surface parts 51b2 are made to contact with a fixing belt 63. |
