PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for authentication processing performed when content is distributed.SOLUTION: A content distribution system includes: a storage device for storing content; an authentication device for performing authentication processing for the use of the content; and a short-range radio access device. The short-range radio access device includes: an authentication unit for storing identification information for identifying a transmission source of request information which is authenticated by the authentication device with respect to the request information for requesting the use of the content; a storage unit for acquiring and storing the content requested by the transmission source which is authenticated by the authentication device, from the storage unit; and a control unit for, when transmission of the content is requested through radio communication, determining whether the identification information for identifying the request source is stored in the authentication unit and, when the identification information is stored in the authentication unit, transmitting the content stored in the storage unit to the request source. The authentication device transmits the identification information to the short-range radio access device which is indicated when the request information is accepted. |
