PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect a loop in a network in units of domains.SOLUTION: A network device 300 comprises a plurality of ports 310 which belong to preset virtual networks and domains which constitute a network in units of groups that are different from the units of virtual networks. The network device 300 further comprises: loop detection frame transmission means 321 for transmitting a loop detection frame from a port to another device on the network; loop detection frame reception means 322 for receiving a loop detection frame from another device on the network with a port; and loop detection means 323 for detecting generation of a loop when it is found, on the basis of the received loop detection frame, that a transmission source of the loop detection frame is the network device 300 itself, and the receiving port and the transmitting port belong to the same domain. |
