PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To defrost an outdoor unit while continuing a heating operation.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes: two or more outdoor units; and an indoor unit including an indoor heat exchanger. Each of the two or more outdoor units includes: a compressor; an outdoor expansion valve connected to the indoor heat exchanger via a first piping element; an outdoor heat exchanger having a liquid side connected to the outdoor expansion valve; a first switching valve for connecting a gas side of the outdoor heat exchanger to either a discharge side of the compressor or a suction side of the compressor; and a connection portion that can connect the discharge side of the compressor to the indoor heat exchanger via a second piping element. The suction sides of the compressors of the two or more outdoor units are connected together via a third piping element. |
