<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent maximumly breakage starting from the end face part of a core plate glass, in a reinforced glass formed by laminating integrally surface-layer plates glasses on both surfaces of the core plate glass.SOLUTION: In a reinforced plate glass 1 formed by arranging and laminating integrally surface-layer plates glasses 3 having a low thermal expansion coefficient on both surfaces of a core plate glass 2 having a high thermal expansion coefficient, to generate a tensile stress in the core plate glass 2 and to generate a compression stress in the surface-layer plates glasses 3, the core plate glass 2 is projected over the whole periphery of the surface-layer plates glasses 3.</p> |
