The present invention relates to a method for controlling an air conditioner of a vehicle. The object of the present invention is to provide a method for controlling an air conditioner of a vehicle which switches a seat mode of the vehicle into a seat cool mode or a seat warm mode corresponding to a maximum cool mode or a maximum hot mode respectively when a user manipulates an air conditioner into the maximum cool mode or the maximum hot mode to enhance comfortability of the inside of the vehicle. The method for controlling the air conditioner for the vehicle includes the steps of: (S1) turning on an air conditioner to be operated; (S10) distinguishing whether or not the air conditioner is converted into a maximum cool mode according to the manipulation of the user after the air conditioner is turned on; (S12) determining whether the seat mode is a seat warm mode when the air conditioner is in the maximum cool mode in the maximum cool mode determining step (S10); (S14) turning off the seat mode or switching the seat mode to the seat cool mode when the seat mode is the seat warm mode in the seat warm mode distinguishing step (S12); (S20) distinguishing whether or not the air conditioner is converted into the maximum hot mode when the mode is not in the maximum cool mode in the maximum cool mode determining step (S10); (S22) distinguishing whether the seat mode is in the seat cool mode when the air conditioner is in the maximum hot mode in the maximum hot mode distinguishing step (S20); and (S24) turning off the seat mode or switching the seat mode to the seat warm mode when the seat mode is the seat cool mode in the seat cool mode distinguishing step (S22).
