Provided is an apparatus for treating wiping gas wiped to control the plating thickness of a steel plate. The wiping gas treating apparatus comprises: an apparatus body means provided on a lower side of gas wiping equipment to suck wiping gas; and a gas cooling means which is provided in the apparatus body means to cool the passing wiping gas. According to the present invention, the wiping gas treating apparatus suppresses the molten zinc in a plating bath from cooling and zinc from scattering due to wiping gas by sucking wiping gas flowing toward a molten steel surface in a plating bath after the discharged wiping gas collides with a steel plate, so that top dross in a plating bath and blockage of an outlet of wiping equipment are prevented. Therefore, the wiping gas treating apparatus can prevent a defect in a surface of the plating steel plate and improve the performance of discharging gas, thereby increasing productivity of a plating steel sheet. |
