The present invention provides a visibility enhanced image (E) formed by fusing a dehazing image (J) of a natural scene obtained by removing haze from a given haze image (I), and a retinex image (R) obtained by improving a dark part of the given haze image (I). The visibility enhanced image is outputted to a transmission-based weighted fusion. The haze is removed and the dark part is improved by performing dehazing and retinex processing on the original haze image. |
