Disclosed is a terminal device. The terminal device includes: a multimedia unit for playing content; a communication unit for performing communication; a short-range wireless communication module for sharing communication connection information with an external device; and a control unit for controlling the communication unit so that the communication unit can be communication-connected to the external device according to the communication connection information and a synchronization signal and the content currently being played can be transmitted, when the external device is tagged while the content is played. Accordingly, the terminal device can share synchronized content with an external device using a UI for controlling a plurality of external devices.
