Disclosed is a method for controlling an electronic brake. The method for controlling an electronic brake in the present invention is characterized by including a step of activating a clamping sensor failure mode when a clamping sensor sensing a clamping force between a brake pad and disc is not normally operated; a step of measuring at least one between a rotating position of a pad motor, which changes the position of the brake pad, and a current consumed by the pad motor when the clamping sensor failure mode is activated; and a step of estimating an initial position of the brake pad based on the at least one measurement. According to the present invention, the method for controlling an electronic brake can put on the brake even if the clamping sensor is not normally operated. |
