Provided are a method for measuring an interference by user equipment (UE) and the UE thereof in a major node system which includes a base station and multiple nodes which are controlled by the base station in a cell. The method receives a cell specific interference measurement area setting message from the base station and measures an interference in a resource area which is indicated by the cell specific interference measurement area setting message. The cell specific interference measurement area setting message includes information which sets a cell specific interference measurement area in which all nodes in the cell transmit a zero-power channel state information (CSI) reference signal (RS).
