A touch detection device (1) includes a driving unit (14) providing a driving electrode (Tx) with a touch detection signal (TSVcom) of which at least the amplitude varies at a certain interval in order to detect an access to or contact with a target, a touch detection unit 40 electrically connected to the touch detection electrode (Rx) facing the driving electrode (Tx) and detecting an access or contact with the target based on an output value from the touch detection electrode (Rx), and a capacitor Cref electrically connected to the driving unit 14 and the touch detection unit 40, receiving the touch detection signal (TSVcom) from the driving unit 14 and having certain capacity, wherein a touch detection signal (Vdet) is corrected by using a correction output value Vref from the capacitor Cref and the touch detection signal (Vdet) from the touch detection electrode Rx obtained at the same timing point. |
