An electric vehicle according to the present invention includes: a battery pack that has a battery cell, a case where the battery cell is disposed, and a leak sensor; and a battery management system (BMS) that receives a sensing value from the leak sensor. The battery management system diagnoses whether or not the battery pack is subjected to watertight destruction based on sensing value changes. Accordingly, it is possible to diagnose whether or not the battery pack is subjected to the watertight destruction and failure can be reduced, and thus the stability of the electric vehicle can be enhanced. |
