The invention provides a mobile armrest flaw detection device of a passenger conveyer, which can reduce the calculating and measuring error of the position and speed of each portions of a mobile armrest even when the surface of the mobile armrest undergoes aging. A state detection mechanism used for detecting the state of steel wires embed in a mobile armrest (2) is composed by a radiation generator (1) and a photic portion (3). The mobile armrest flaw detection device comprises a roller (6d) which is disposed on the state detection mechanism and abuts against the mobile armrest and rotates along with the movement or relative movement of the mobile armrest, a wireless optical mouse (6a) which is disposed on the state detection mechanism for detecting the rotation and displacement quantity of the roller, and a contrasting mechanism which is contained in a computer (5) and conducts processing on the state detection result of the photic portion by contrasting the state detection result of the state detection mechanism and the wireless optical mouse. |
