The present invention relates to an organic light emitting diode display device and a method for fabricating the same, capable of improving capacitance (Cst) of a storage capacitor as well as transmittance. The organic light emitting diode display device of the present invention includes: a substrate having a light emitting region; a driving thin film transistor formed on the substrate; a protective film covering the driving thin film transistor; a color filter formed on the protective film in the light emitting region; a planar layer covering the color filter; a transparent metal layer formed on the planar layer in correspondence with the light emitting region; an overcoat layer formed on the substrate including the transparent metal layer; a first electrode which is connected to the driving thin film transistor and forms a storage capacitor by being overlapped with the transparent metal layer across the overcoat layer; a bank insulation layer which is formed on the overcoat layer in order to form a bankhole that exposes a part of the first electrode; an organic light emitting layer formed on the first electrode exposed by the bankhole; and a second electrode formed on the organic light emitting layer.
