The present invention relates to novel benzooxazole-based derivatives or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, a method for preparing the same, and a pharmaceutical composition containing the same for preventing or treating RAGE receptor-related diseases. The benzooxazole-based derivatives performs antagonistic functions to an RAGE receptor, thereby being used as a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating RAGE receptor-related diseases including diabetes complications such as erectile dysfunction, chronic renal failure, lupus nephritis, tumor invasion and metastasis, inflammation, nephropathy, vascular permeability increase, atherosclerosis, and retinopathy; and amyloidosis such as Alzheimer’s disease, systemic AL amyloidosis, and AA amyloidosis.
