Provided are a method and system for providing combined error-correction based auto meter reading service and safety-related service. A volume correction unit, a sensor unit, and an information communication unit are installed at respective user areas and a comprehensive information processing unit divides a service providing area into a plurality of unit areas and is installed at each unit area. The volume correction unit calculates a volume correction usage amount in real time, which is obtained by offsetting the deviation of an actual temperature and pressure of gas for a reference temperature and pressure. The sensor unit generates security event generation information by detecting changes in environment relating to the security or safety of a user area by using various sensors. The information communication unit provides the volume correction usage amount and the security event generation information to the comprehensive information processing unit in real time. The comprehensive information processing unit stores volume correction usage amount information and security event generation information that the information communication units transmit in a database and manages them, transmits the volume correction usage amount information to a computer system of a gas supply company according to a predetermined schedule, and transmits the security event generation information to a computer system of an agency responsible for the safety of a unit area in real time. The information communication unit includes at least one detachable wireless communication unit attached to a volume correction unit and a sensor unit integrally or separately if necessary and an access point (AP) performing a relay for communication between the at least one wireless communication unit and the comprehensive information processing unit. |
