Provided are a folding device and a folding method for an airbag cushion of a driver capable of being inserted into an inner space of a mounting plate having various types of the inner spaces. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the folding device for the airbag cushion of the driver comprises a first plate for airbag cushion to be folded; a fixing jig fixing the center of the airbag cushion placed on the first plate; a second plate covering the airbag cushion; a plurality of first pressure jigs inserted between the first and second plates and dividing the airbag cushion into several parts in a circumferential direction by pressuring the circumference of the airbag cushion; a plurality of second pressure jigs inserted between the first and second plates and pressuring the circumference of the airbag cushion inwards, which is divided by the first pressure jigs; a pusher pushing the airbag cushion compressed by the second pressure jigs by the mounting plate installed at the lower part of the first plate; and a sealing jig joining a cushion cover after wrapping a cushion by the airbag cushion inserted into the mounting plate. |
