PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure high droplet removal performance in a steam dryer.SOLUTION: According to the embodiment, A steam dryer 1 reduces wetness of steam by separating a droplet included in the steam, and comprises a hood 9 for switching the direction to the horizontal direction by making the steam flow in from below, a steam dryer unit 3 having a plurality of vanes 2 for separating the droplet dispersed in wet steam into the steam and a drain by removing the droplet by using inertia force, an inlet side porous panel 4 provided between the hood 9 and the steam dryer unit 3 and an inlet side vortex generating part 20 provided so that the steam passes through an inflow passage of the steam of the hood 9 and generating a vortex on the downstream side. The inlet side vortex generating part 20 may have a shape of an interference part adjusted so as to provide central pressure and a vortex frequency of the vortex of drawing the droplet near to the center of the vortex and a shape of a passing hole formed of the interference part. The interference part may be arranged in parallel to the horizontal direction on a plurality of rods extending in the horizontal direction. |
