PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sinter forging member capable of securing both of high strength and good machinability.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a sinter forging member containing 0.5 to 0.8 mass% of carbon, 2.5 to 3.5 mass% of copper, 0.1 to 0.5 mass% of manganese, 0.01 to 0.25 mass% of sulfur and the balance iron with inevitable impurities, having a density of 7.65 g/cmor more, a percentage of area of pearlitic structure to a whole area in any cross section of 60% or more, the percentage of area of a ferrite structure of 40% or less (the sum of the percentage of area of the pearlitic structure and the percentage of area of the ferrite structure is 100%). |
