发明名称 Improvements in bag making
摘要 578,039. Paper and like bags. DARBYSHIRE, E. Nov. 7, 1944, No. 21796. [Class 94 (ii)] Bags are made from strip material moving forward continuously, or step by step, in which short cuts 9 are spaced apart by a distance slightly less than half the width of the strip, and disposed parallel to, or at a slight angle to the longitudinal axis of the strip. After the cuts 9 have been made by a cutter 5 and its co-operating roll 6, the web passes between glueing rolls 13, 14 which apply adhesive to the' edges 11, 12 which afterwards form a seam 15. The strip passes under a guide roller 16, is folded into a continuous tube on a former, passes between draw rollers 17, 18, and then between rollers 19, 20 which hold the tube in position over an internal floating plate 21. The latter co-acts with cutters 22, 23 which are offset relatively to each other. One cutter 22 cuts the web along line 24, Fig. 7, the other cutting along line 25, the tube being stretched by nip rolls 26, 27 during this operation. The tubular bag blanks 28 then proceed to the usual pasting and folding machinery, one. tongue 29 being gummed, lapped over and sealed.
