Provided is a duplex bearing device capable of reducing the temperature of lubricating oil supplied from a journal bearing to thrust bearings and thereby capable of reducing the total amount of oil supplied, and a rotating machine equipped with same. A duplex bearing device (1) provided with: a tilting pad journal bearing (2) for accepting the radial load of a rotating shaft (4); and thrust bearings (3), which are provided on the ends of the journal bearing (2) in the axial direction and are for accepting the axial load of the rotating shaft (4) via thrust collars (10) provided on the circumference of the rotating shaft (4). The bearing device comprises: journal bearing oil supply paths (17) for supplying lubricating oil between the journal pads (5) of the journal bearing (1) from the outside; thrust bearing oil supply paths (20) for supplying lubricating oil to the thrust bearings (3) from the outside; and re-used oil supply paths (23) for supplying lubricating oil to the thrust bearings (3) only from between the journal pads (5) of the journal bearing (2). |
