摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nondestructive inspection system and an inspection method of fuel rods using ultrasonic waves that are suitable for evaluating soundness of the fuel rods without removing a fuel channel box of a fuel assembly stored in water.SOLUTION: In a nondestructive inspection system of fuel rods, soundness of the fuel rods being a constituting unit of a fuel assembly stored in water is confirmed by using ultrasonic waves. An insertion jig 4 causes ultrasonic probes to be inserted into clearances in a top tie plate of the fuel assembly and mounted on a surface of the fuel rods by using a position adjustment rod 4a attached to a tip end part of an insertion arm and a plurality of probe mounting rods 4b in which the ultrasonic probe is attached to a tip end thereof. Ultrasonic probes 31 transmit and receive the ultrasonic waves to/from the fuel rods.
