ELECTRIC VEHICLE, AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control decrease in a possible EV (Electric Vehicle) travel distance, in an electric vehicle having a power storage device which stores power from a power source outside the vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle 100 comprises a power storage devices A1 and A2, a charging device 60, motor generators MG1 and MG2, a diode 62, a plug socket 72 and a relay 64. The power storage device A1 stores traveling power, and the charging device 60 charges the power storage device A1 through a power source outside the vehicle. The motor generators MG1 and MG2 has a power generation function, and the power storage device A2 stores power generated by the motor generators MG1 and MG2. When power is outputted to the outside of the vehicle through the plug socket 72, the relay 64 limits output from the power storage device A1 so as to output power stored in the power storage device A2.
