PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device which regulates load amount of sheets by a regulation member when sheets are replenished and still can prevent the occurrence of feeding failure caused by the regulation member when feeding a sheet.SOLUTION: A sheet feeding device comprises: a sheet cassette 10 for accommodating a plurality of sheets S loaded into it; a feeding roller 11 which is capable of separating and feeding the sheets S loaded in the sheet cassette 10 one by one; a regulation member 60 which can move to a first position for regulating the top surface of the sheets S loaded into the sheet cassette 10 and to a second position at a prescribed distance away from the top surface; and a regulation member moving mechanism 61 which moves the regulation member 60 from the first position to the second position. When the feeding roller 11 feeds sheets S loaded in the sheet cassette 10, the regulation member 60 is moved from the first position to the second position by the regulation member moving mechanism 61. |
