PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel position distinction system that associates identification information, which is contained in wheel information sent from a wheel, with the position of the wheel, and more successfully distinguishes the wheel position.SOLUTION: While a wheel position is being distinguished, if a vehicle is halted, and a person alights from or rides on the vehicle or a baggage is loaded or unloaded, a relationship between a detection value of an acceleration sensor and a count value of a wheel speed sensor may be changed (Fig. 11(b)). Distinction of the wheel position is achieved on condition that the relationship between them remains constant. Therefore, if the relationship is changed, the distinction of the wheel position may not be successfully achieved. In contrast, as shown in Fig. 11(c), if a change in the count value occurring when the vehicle is halted is ignored, the relationship between the detection value of the acceleration sensor and the count value of the wheel speed sensor can be held nearly constant between before the vehicle is halted and after the vehicle starts. Eventually, after the vehicle starts, the distinction of the wheel position can be continuously and successfully achieved. |
