PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device capable of reducing an optical loss of the light other than excitation light of a fluorescent body by an inexpensive configuration.SOLUTION: A light source device for supplying illumination light to a light guide of an endoscope comprises: semiconductor light sources 31-33; a light guide rod 40; and a reduction optical system. The semiconductor light source 31 includes a fluorescent body 36, and a light emitting device 66 having a laser diode LD1 that emits excitation light of the fluorescent body 36, and emits white light for normal light observation .The semiconductor light source 31, the fluorescent body 36, the light guide rod 40, and the reduction optical system are arranged so that the optical axis coincides with an optical axis L of the light guide. The semiconductor light sources 32 and 33 have light-emitting devices 76 and 78 respectively, and are arranged at a position where the light of the light-emitting devices 76 and 78 is caused to be incident on a margin 73 of an incident end face 70 of the light guide rod 40. |
