1. A method for controlling a vacuum apparatus of a pneumatically operated servo unit of a motor vehicle, in which vacuum is applied to a vacuum accumulator via a pump, comprising the steps of:
measuring a pressure in the vacuum accumulator in absolute terms; determining the ambient pressure; adapting pump control signals to the ambient pressure to develop an adapted pump control signal; comparing the pressure in the vacuum accumulator with the adapted pump control signals wherein the pump control signal is formed by means of a product of the ambient pressure and a ratio of one minus a constant ratio of a differential pressure threshold of the switching on or switching off of the pump with respect to the ambient pressure; and outputting a pump actuation signal as a function of the comparing the pressure. |
